I have seen some amazing mojito variations out there lately. I’ve seen everything from orange mojitos made with small mandarin oranges to interesting watermelon and basil variations. It seems like mojitos are the go-to cocktail this season.
These are just standard lime and mint mojitos with a slightly healthier, low-carb twist. These are made with liquid stevia instead of the standard simple syrup.
The Stevia saves a ton of calories and makes the whole process a little easier. You no longer have to make simple syrup which can be a time-consuming process. With these simple sugar-free mojitos, you just squeeze a few drops of stevia to sweeten these summery drinks.
Ingredients for Sugar-Free Mojitos
- Fresh Mint
- Fresh Lime (cut into small wedges)
- Liquid Stevia
- Crushed Ice
- Club Soda
- White Rum
Tools for Mojitos
First, use the muddler to “squish” two small lime wedges and two mint leaves in the bottom of the glass.
Next, put a few drops of the liquid stevia into the bottom of the glass. I always use a small squirt. Then, add two more lime wedges and two more mint leaves.
Next, muddle all together in the bottom of the Glass.
Then, add one ounce of rum in the bottom of the glass, and fill the glass with ice. I prefer crushed ice in this drink.
Fill glass to the top with club soda.
Garnish with more fresh mint and lime. I always give a straw with this drink so each person can stir their own drink. You can also add more stevia as needed.
- 4 leaves of fresh mint
- 2 small lime wedges
- small squirt of liquid stevia
- 1 ounce white rum
- 6 ounces club soda
- Muddle mint and limes in the bottom of a hi-ball glass.
- Add a squirt of liquid stevia
- Add rum.
- Fill glass with ice.
- Fill to top with club soda.
- Garnish with mint lime and mint leaf.
